Spring is here, and flowers are popping up everywhere, making a colorful landscape for Helena residents. And one of the first indicators of the season’s arrival is the flittering of some of our most beautiful pollinators, butterflies, that are seeking out the new blooms.
Mrs. Berry’s kindergarten class at Hawthorne elementary school discussed what colors combine to make other colors. They did a chromatology experiment where they could observe colors slowly separating out, to reveal the combination of colors that created them.
They then merged science with art, turning their color samples into butterfly mobiles.
