Spring is here, and flowers are popping up everywhere, making a colorful landscape for Helena residents. And one of the first indicators of the season’s arrival is the flitteringĀ of some of our most beautiful pollinators, butterflies, that are seeking out the new blooms.


Chromatology experiment, separating out colors to see their composition.

Mrs. Berry’s kindergarten class at Hawthorne elementary school discussed what colors combine to make other colors. They did a chromatology experiment where they could observe colors slowly separating out, to revealĀ the combination of colors that created them.

They then merged science with art, turning their color samples into butterfly mobiles.
